Sika, adhesives for a Hyperloop prototype

Swissloop, an ETH Zurich student team, recently unveiled its latest Hyperloop prototype, ‘Lia Wälti’, at Innovation Park Zurich. The team designs and builds next-generation pods, within an academic year, combining engineering excellence with real-world impact.

As a proud partner, Sika contributed structural adhesives, resin systems, and sealants to the pressure cabin, enabling high-performance and reliable operation. The team will soon compete at the European Hyperloop Week 2026.

Adhesives and sealants industry professionals will meet at ABS Europe 2026 -Adhesives Bonding & Sealants, the first event in Italy and the Mediterranean region dedicated to adhesives, glues, sealants, foams, tapes, resins, coatings, laminates and films. The event will take place from 27 to 29 October 2026 at Vicenza Exhibition Center.
