ACTEGA is expanding its production footprint in Asia with a new manufacturing facility dedicated to sealants at its site in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. The investment is aimed at increasing regional production capacity while providing faster and more flexible supply of solutions for food and beverage can manufacturers.
Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026. The project will enable ACTEGA to integrate manufacturing, sales and technical support at a single regional hub, with the goal of shortening lead times and improving responsiveness to customers across Asia.
Locally produced sealants for can manufacturing
The new facility will produce both premium and standard sealants for food and beverage can applications. Local production will enable ACTEGA to strengthen its offering in the Asian market while bringing its supply chain closer to customers.
The Foshan investment is part of the company’s broader expansion across the region. Recent initiatives include the opening of a new office and application laboratory in Bangkok, Thailand, designed to provide additional technical and customer support locally.
Greater process control with ROTARflow®
Customers will also have access to ROTARflow®, ACTEGA’s digital solution for monitoring and managing sealant film weight.
In high-volume can manufacturing applications, the system is designed to improve process transparency, optimize material consumption and ensure greater production consistency. More precise control of sealant application can help reduce waste, minimize downtime and improve overall line efficiency.
With the new Foshan facility, ACTEGA is strengthening its ability to supply sealants and related technologies locally to the metal packaging industry, combining regional manufacturing, technical support and digital tools for process control.
Industry professionals will meet at ABS Europe 2026 – Adhesives Bonding & Sealants, the first event dedicated to adhesives, glues, sealants, foams, tapes, resins, coatings, laminates and films in Italy and the Mediterranean region, taking place from October 27 to 29, 2026, at Vicenza Exhibition Center.
