Hot-melt adhesives, a market worth over nine billion dollars
13 Gennaio 2026
The packaging industry is facing a dual challenge: consumers are demanding sustainable solutions while increasingly stringent regulations require greater resource efficiency during production.
In this context, the DPP (Digital Product Passport) may also be the answer for adhesives and sealants. It is a key tool for creating a digital record of essential information on a product’s composition, lifecycle, and sustainability aspects, and for making this information accessible. The DPP will become mandatory in many sectors starting in 2027.
The European Union has defined the minimum information requirements for DPPs: product identification and origin; composition and materials; environmental footprint; durability and repairability; end‑of‑life and recycling; regulatory compliance and certifications.
These topics will be discussed at Adhesives Bonding & Sealants – ABS Europe 2026, the first event in Italy and the Mediterranean region dedicated to adhesives, glues, sealants, foams, tapes, resins, coatings, laminates, and films, taking place from October 27 to 29, 2026, at Fiera di Vicenza.
