Sun Chemical and Cyngient have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding their range of specialty solutions for narrow web label and packaging converters. The collaboration combines Sun Chemical’s extensive technology portfolio and global research and development capabilities with Cyngient’s expertise in specialty products, technical support and responsive customer service.
The partnership centers on a new jointly branded Sun Chemical/Cyngient product line featuring advanced coatings and high-performance adhesives.
The new portfolio is designed to meet the needs of converters seeking premium print quality, distinctive embellishment effects and reliable on-press performance. A particular focus will be placed on technologies that enhance the visual and tactile appeal of labels and packaging, responding to growing demand from brands for differentiated and higher-value applications.
Through the partnership, the two companies will jointly develop specialty coatings and adhesive technologies that enable narrow web converters to expand their production capabilities while maintaining the performance and reliability required in demanding printing environments.
Beyond product development, the alliance aims to strengthen customer support throughout the entire production process, from product selection and application development to testing and commercial manufacturing. By combining their technological expertise and application-specific knowledge, Sun Chemical and Cyngient intend to facilitate the adoption of innovative solutions and help converters respond more effectively to evolving market requirements.
The launch of the joint specialty portfolio is expected to provide narrow web converters with new opportunities to differentiate their products, develop higher-value applications and meet increasingly sophisticated brand requirements.
Industry professionals will meet at ABS Europe 2026 – Adhesives Bonding & Sealants, the first event dedicated to adhesives, glues, sealants, foams, tapes, resins, coatings, laminates and films in Italy and the Mediterranean region, taking place from October 27 to 29, 2026, at Vicenza Exhibition Center.
