In Italy, the value of the adhesives sector—currently at 1.49 billion dollars—is expected to reach 1.85 billion by 2028, with an annual growth rate of 5.6%. The estimate comes from the research firm Mordor Intelligence.

The sector has significant weight, and the packaging adhesives segment alone contributes 0.36% to Italy’s Gross Domestic Product. In this context, and in order to comply with increasingly stringent European regulations, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on developing sustainable adhesive solutions with high performance levels.

In Italy, the manufacturing base consists of both large companies and specialized SMEs, creating a mixed market. In the future, their success will depend on their ability to be innovative, sustainable and competitive at the same time. Building efficient distribution networks and technical support systems will also be crucial.
