Epoxyset has launched two new adhesive solutions specifically developed for endoscopic applications, including lens bonding and encapsulation of the camera components used in endoscopes. The new Epoxibond EB-125RT-END and EB-125LV-CR formulations are designed to provide greater mechanical strength and chemical resistance than conventional epoxies commonly used in endoscope manufacturing. Both products are currently awaiting ISO 10993 cytotoxicity certification.
EB-125RT-END is a two-part epoxy adhesive formulated to provide high resistance to chemicals and moisture. The system can be cured either at room temperature or under elevated-temperature conditions, offering flexibility during the manufacturing process.
EB-125LV-CR is also a two-component epoxy system. It features a Shore D hardness of 86 and a lap shear strength of 2,000 psi. The adhesive reaches full cure in approximately 24–48 hours at 25 °C, while curing can be completed in around two hours at 65 °C.
