European Adhesives and Sealants Market Targets €23.6 Billion by 2030
7 May 2026ABS Europe 2026 wil be supported by UNICHIM, the association for the development of standards and testing methods in chemistry.
UNICHIM, affiliated with UNI (the Italian Standardization Body), is active in the field of standardization and is also an accredited provider for the organization of Interlaboratory Tests. Its areas of activity include, for example, adhesives for construction, paper, wood, and footwear applications.
UNICHIM’s support will further strengthen ABS Europe 2026, a trade fair showcasing every stage of production in the industry, including raw materials, technologies, equipment, machinery, plants, solutions, products, and services.
The event targets the adhesives and sealants market, which in Europe is currently valued at nearly €20 billion and continues to show steady, gradual growth prospects. According to the latest report prepared for FEICA, the association representing the sector at the European level, total demand reached approximately 4.57 million tonnes in 2023.
Forecasts for 2030 indicate growth to 5.16 million tonnes and a market value that could reach €23.65 billion. Adhesives account for the largest share, representing more than 80% of total volumes.
ABS Europe 2026 will be held concurrently with A&T-Automation & Testing, the trade fair dedicated to technological solutions, innovation, reliability, and Industry 4.0–5.0 skills, which attracted more than 12,000 professionals at its latest edition.
