RoboTape™ is a robotic tape application platform developed by Innovative Automation, a Canadian automation company serving global manufacturers since 1989. Designed for technical adhesive, foam, felt, sealing, and attachment tape applications, RoboTape™ helps manufacturers improve consistency, throughput, and process reliability while reducing dependence on manual tape application.
At ABS Europe 2026, the company will showcase its patented remote-feeding technology, which allows tape to be supplied from a large external spool positioned outside the robot work cell. This architecture increases runtime between spool changes, improves accessibility, and supports more flexible system integration.
Visitors will see RoboTape™’s ability to automate complex tape applications on curves, channels, closed-loop paths, and three-dimensional surfaces across industries including automotive, EV battery manufacturing, electronics, HVAC, appliances, and industrial products.
At the event, the company will also introduce RoboTape XL, a new platform developed for wider tape and gasketing materials. Created in response to growing demand for larger sealing, foam, and attachment applications, RoboTape XL expands the range of materials that can be automated while maintaining the same continuous-feed philosophy that defines the RoboTape platform.
